In the Market for a New Driver? Here are Some Things to Consider

A secret to become a superb golfer is by hitting really good drives off the tee. Using the proper driver can allow you to do that. Have you found that when you hit a beautiful drive down the fairway it seems to add a bit of self-confidence to your golf game? Having the proper driver in your hands can do this even more. There are a lot of drivers that offer more length and control from the tee. But which driver will make your swing better?

Golf Tips for Beginners- Choosing the Proper Driver for You
Finding the right driver for you starts with studying the different drivers that are on the market. But what things must you consider when thinking about buying a new driver? Are you wanting a steel driver, which is a little heavier in overall weight but is easier on your budget because the cost is less? Or do you want something lighter, such as titanium, which comes in a bigger size but is a bit more expensive? The better golfers are beginning to utilize the lighter, larger headed drivers because they are a lot more forgiving and have a much bigger sweet spot, but they also come with a higher overall price.

A good reason to consider a larger, lighter sized head is you can get better accuracy and more distance even if your swing is a little off. So investigate the assorted brands of drivers on the market. A lot of golf stores will allow you to demo their drivers. So go to your LGS and check out a few drivers at a time. Take them to the driving range and even play them on the golf course. A benefit of doing this is you will be able to find a driver that you like and hit well.

But still, you must also consider being fitted for your driver. If and when you find a driver that you hit well, go back to your local golf store and get fitted for it. This way you will make sure that you are using the proper shaft flex for your swing, the proper grip size for your hands, and the proper face angle for your golf flight. This will allow you to hit straighter off the tee as well as increase your golf swing speed.

When you have picked a few drivers that you like, then consider which one fits best into your budget and consider adding that particular driver to your bag. If you follow these few golf tips when it comes to your driver, you will no doubt receive a boost in confidence off the tee as well as increased distance, thus resulting in becoming the better golfer that you have always dreamed of!
